Police were called to the store on the 700 block of Broad Street around 10:45 a.m., on reports of an unresponsive male, Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said.
The victim was pronounced deceased at 11:03 a.m. The incident remains under investigation, but was considered suspicious.
